It wasn’t the surprising score (2:1) that put the ice hockey match on Friday between Germany and the United States into the Guinness World Records but rather the crowd – more than 77,000 people watched the opening match of the Ice Hockey World Championship in the legendary Veltins soccer arena that with the help of spectacular technology was converted into a “stadium on the rocks” in just a few short days.
